Travel Purse
My sister is a type 2 diabetic who travels a lot. What are some good things to keep in her purse to snack on?
I’ve noticed when traveling with her that it’s hard to keep meals on a regular schedule and she always says, “I’m fine, let’s go” and I know she needs to eat. I’ve even see her turn pale and go into the “falling sugar bizzare behavior” gig. Any prepared snacks or advice would be appreciated.
I’m confused…. a type two should not have hypoglycemic episodes unless they’re on a sulfonylurea drug or taking insulin. In either case, the low sugar episodes would seem to indicate taking too much medication. I can go all day without a meal and never come close to having a hypoglycemic episode. Perhaps your sister should take a closer look at diet and exercise as a remedy for her diabetic issues instead of overmedicating.
